In addition to the analysis on this trends blog post, the attached spreadsheet shows ranks and percentages from the Developer Survey along with ranks from PYPL and Github. These numbers were used in addition to summarizing total questions asked on Stack Overflow to determine the power of a relationship between questions asked and external determination of popularity to validate whether Stack Overflow question posts are directly or indirectly related to popularity.
